HAve you ever written something and thought it was really good, then stashed it away and forgotten about. Then, when you find it again, you read it and think, what a piece of shit!? Well, because I like you people so much, I want to share my shit! I don't even remember what inspired this, but here it is.


Act

I commit random unselfish acts because I am selfish.
The act is scheduled to take place at a time in which it will be most visible to the people that know me.
The act is selected so that it will attract the absolute most attention.
Thusly, the beatification of my acts.
Acts.

What more can I say?
I am a saint.

I do it partly to show just how insignificant such an act can be.
And how common it should be.
I act as if I don’t understand the depth of such an act.
Or that the act means nothing.
The act.

But what does it show?
It takes more effort to act like you don’t care,
To act like you don’t see.

To observe is to learn.
Shame and fear are defenses.
To govern your compassion
Translates into ineffable joy.

Act upon your feelings.
