Time Will Tell
 

Hi Sweet One~

Just wanted to let you know
that I was glad that you called
the other night.
And to let you know that i miss you.
And to tell you that I think
that what you are doing right now
(retreating for the sake of gathering
and re-couping yourself) IS... the best
thing that you could be doing now.
This action is not only beneficial for yourself,
but for your girls.
And, I may add: Me.

Let me talk about ME, if I may. :)
In the past when I sensed the
"Retreat',
my Black Pride
never allowed
me to stay in the
same place for long
enough to figure out
why this was occurring...
Surely, I would surmise, that
this was all about me and never
about the person I was involved with.
SO
I would quickly move on, picking up the
pieces of my shattered ego, cutting my
losses and get gone. Never thinking
that all that was needed was Time.
Knowing that I needed.
Never knowing .

I never knew the experience of letting someone find their way back to me.

This is what I earnestly pray for, *****. This is what I hope.

When I think of you I think of Home.

and no temptation can lead me away
from your doorstep. For 3 months we
got the crash course on one another...
you crashing into me...
me crashing into you,
and Yes, it has been only a short time that we've had the beautiful pleasure of one anothers company, However I think that we've blazed a magnificent trail. Don't you?
I'm willing to wield this machete`
and hack through the
brush and crawling vines
and confront, head-on, all manner
of foul beasties.
Good Lady, when I'm done with all this bushwackin' I want only to know that I can come staggering home all covered with mud with deep scratches upon my forehead and bitten by bugs from the very depths of hades...
and ring the bell-
and have you open the front door-
and have you greet me with your warm, radiant smile.

This, Moonpie, is what I wish.
and I guess that only time will tell.
