Writing Challenge #27

A new week is here, along with a new idea - try it out!

Your Challenge:

Write a poem in any style you choose, using the following guidelines:

Depending on the length of your poem, write on what you choose and incorporate the suggestions into your writing - if you write more than what I have listed suggestions for, just start over with the 1st line suggestion for the next line and cycle through.

On the listed line, include:

1st line of poem: a color
2nd line of poem: an emotion
3rd line of poem: a kitchen utensil
4th line of poem: an act of nature
5th line of poem: an animal
6th line of poem: a unit of measurement
7th line of poem: a form of water
8th line of poem: a method of transportation
9th line of poem: an article of clothing
10th line of poem: something you drink

Trying this out to see how it takes ... feel free to throw any suggestions at me that I'll hang onto for the future ...

Have a great week!

THE PASSIONATE DAOUST

Daoust, Daoust whose balls were blue
Was feeling rather horny
His thoughts strayed to the rolling pin
And he conjured up an evening of intrigue with the Missus
He was going to invade her like a rabbit might his mate
With his throbbing 3 inch manhood
So Daoust decided how to get things nice and steamy with the Missus
First, an evening drive to the dump, and then some backroad in the Le Sabre.
Then he'd toss off his Denver Hayes' revealing his purple polka dotted g-string
Then he'd eat her liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

*Disclaimer* This is the worst poem (if you want to call it that) or piece of writing period that I have ever written.

Have a great week!
Sparks of red seen with the mind's eye
reflect the excitement felt so far away
Like the sharpness of a knife's blade
And the brightness of a summer sun
The work continues to the envy of ants
The minutes fly but the days are too slow
Not even rain could dampen the energies now
As you run through all the things left to do
Tied up with all the chores you've listed
Screw it. Time for a beer

Getting Clearer

In darkness you live, like the black of night
You know not the fear that drives you
Yet you feel it grate against your soul
Desperation and hunger floods your being
Succumbing to the serpent, you feed on others
Reckless denial of the emptiness that consumes you
Oblivious to your icy wasteland now created
Contentment now carried on the guile of progress
Nothing can penetrate this veil of deceit
So far removed and forgotten is the mothers milk

amber waves of yellow gold
fleeting envy fills this hole
Spoons fill up to swollen mouth
While last drops burst the flood
Early bears roused from sleep
a month too soon the sunrise seen
melting walls of ice let in
sailing breezes scented light

Wow, I go away for a while, and these writing assignments just get harder and harder! Ok, here's what I came up with. A most silly attempt, I think...

Darkness, absence of light most pure
Two strangers joined only by love
Spoon each other in the waning night
Breaths abated as the skies alight
A lone butterfly darts and swoops
And lands upon the maidenís foot
Suddenly, her heart turns to ice
As the memories crash through
Hold me closer, she pants
Drinking in his scent like wine

A flash of blue floods my senses as I enter the room...
a Mad rush of teenage lust infuses my hypersensetive body.
The room feels as hot as a broiler, but it's all in my head.
As the stars align to pronounce this celestial event,
I prowl over to my lover like a tiger on the hunt,
moving closer, inch by inch.
She flows toward me like the nile toward the ocean,
as slow as a tortoise, but with the intensity of a freighter.
A blue neglige drops to the floor as I reach my destination,
and we share in the sweetest nectar that is love.
