Replacement seats

I need a replacement driver's side seat for my Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and I can't find anything. The back part adjusting thing has been completely broken. I mean, the back part of the seat is still physically attached, but it won't stay upright and just falls back without something supporting it from behind.

I've called all the local salvage yards (they can't help me), the obligatory google search (racing car seats? for an Olds?) and spent the morning at ebay motors and no luck. I've got several requests at a couple of Oldsmobile enthusiast sites and at some salvage yard sites, but I'm not holding my breath.

I just wondered if maybe there was a resource that I don't know about. I've called a couple of local dealers and they quote me 'something in the $300 range' or 'maybe more,' so, I'd like to exhaust all other possibilities first.

Thanks in advance

i once had to find a wheel to a 95 grand prix GTP... i went to a AAA affiliated salvage yard. they didn't have any but because of being part of AAA they could do a nation wide search to see if any AAA yards had one... got one shipped in from indiana or something.

hope that helps a little, good luck!

Check out www.car-part.com as they've got a good variety of listings, local, and non. Good luck. Don't worry about color, though, as you can change that with your current seat.

You'll have to wade through several pages, and decipher descriptions, based on bucket seats, split bench, power, manual, and that kind of stuff. I found 'em ranging from $45-350. Not sure where you're at, but I'm sure you can figure that out.
