Bought a used truck. Probs to watch for?

I just bought a 1993 F-350 XLT V8 460 longbed and was wondering if anybody has any experience with them or knows of any potential problems.

The truck is in great condition, and my mechanic that checked it out didn't turn up anything substantial.

It looks almost exactly like this, but the wheels/tires aren't as nice and it has electric mirrors:

My dad had a 1993 F-150. We never experience any problems, though I suppose it maybe different with a 350. It's fun to tool around town in. Good luck.

I agree with Spyder_Venom...Ball joints and the rest of the front end. Make sure you check the transfer case fluid level too.
I had a 91' f-250 with a 460ci that had over 400,000 K's. I sold it about 3 months ago and it's still going strong.

Thanks for the responses.

The rig has 122K on it now, and the kid I got it from said he never took it mudding, just for hunting. It'll be used for haying, hunting and hauling crap. Maybe a camp-trailer or a stock trailer. So, hopefully it'll be around for a while.

Oh, and as far as rust, I'm from Oregon so road salt isn't an issue.

ive got a 93 ford explorer it started having tranny problems a little before 120kmiles... so if yours is an automatic it might be nearing time for tranny issues to start croppin up... if it doesnt already have a rebuild or had some taken care of
