Tires Rotated = weird squeaky sounds!

Yeah, I'm feeling bummed out because I went to a fast & inexpensive NTB place locally to get my tires rotated (after hitting 2 zillions pot holes all winter long) Ugh! /But that's another sob story

Now when I drive my G6, which is only 6 years old, I'm hearing squeaky sounds like the shocks got messed up somehow. And esp. when I make hard turns. The car was silent & smooth before the NTB guy(s) did the rotation.

What could it be? I'm afraid "they" made more "to repair"...as some places do esp. to ladies who know very little about car stuff.

What is a possible explanantion or do I go back and beg/whine/or what?

This is common with rear wheel drive vehicles with a few miles on the U-joints. Once the car is up up the lift for the tire rotation or what have you, the joints reach for places they've never seen before and become noisy or vibrate.

I suppose the same can happen for front wheel drive vehicles, I've just never witnessed it with CV joints. Perhaps the bushings did the same reach and stretch exercises and now are dry and cracked.

My car did that last time I got them changed, I went to Sams Club (since my dad worked in the tire shop) and it really just needed to be balanced. Also they did not tightened the lug nuts.

If it were me, I'd just go back and tell them that the car is making funny sounds since the rotation.
If they're unwilling or unable to resolve it, that's when I'd call in someone who understands carspeak to negotiate.
(Yeah, I'm useless.)

I'm going there today! Hopefully it'll be an easy "fix".

Thanks y'All!

Lets us know what it turned out to be. DaniGirl's loose lug nut explanation could be a possibility. Although I'd check that out before taking the car back to perhaps avoid an accident or more damage if the wheel comes off.
