Is the fan hitting the shroud at all (if there is one)?

Which engine? 4.9, 5.0, 5.8?

Silly obvious questions: Did you replace the water pump? the belt? Did you do the work or did someone else? Is it possible that the fan blade went back on backwards? Is the belt routing correct? Is the fan shroud loose or cracked?

Please believe that I intend no insult! Over the years I've seen some crazy shit overlooked be some great mechanics. No detail can be too small or insignificant.

no...no need to as it was replaced last year.

same with belt.

yup the work was done by me.

belt is fine, routing is correct and the shroud is intact.

what the prob was....i needed a heavy duty fan clutch for some odd reason.little more in the cash dept but...i solved my prob and i thank you who gave insight.

my thermostat ran in unison with the fan clutch.they worked off of each other.so....process of eliminatiopn and i am now laughin'

thanks for the help....cheers.
