The New Acura TL

for 2004. My friend at Acura says it will have 295 hp. What do you think about it compare to the old body??

I'm really not happy with it. It seems like they're mixing too many styles. That hard line across the side of the body seems like a new BMW styling que, that wrap-around portion of the headlight screams Pontiac Bonneville, and the front looks too much like the new accord to me. The back also looks like one of the new cadillacs. CTX, I think. For the note takers, I don't particularly like the new Accord. At least, I don't think the new TL should mirror it.

As for the old body, I loved it . Simple, elegant lines, straight-forward. I think it had so much success for that reason. The M5's have shown that this works year after year after. Althought I'm worried about what the new one will look like. But in any event, I hope they clean it up a bit. May make some of the lines less harsh.

I like everything but the flat back, same thing with the TSX, the flat rear throws the whole car off.. looks like a older 318i..

Insane

I have to agree the whole flat rear throws off the look of the car. It is nice they are actually putting a decent engine into it (if the 295hp engine is true). If they add their 6-speed manual it could be a damn fun car to drive.

I really like the current design. Not sure what they're thinking with this newest boxy look. ug. 295hp though...
