Crazy

Yep, Steve Urkle drove one in Family Matters.

Steve: It's a BMW Isetta.
Carl: Isetta?
Steve: That's what I said-a.

This car was actually a FIAT design that was built under license in several countries, including Germany, Poland, and Yugoslavia. Hence the Italian name "Isetta" on a BMW.

Loser

We were actually looking around for one, but even the total junk is outrageously priced. We were thinking of making an SPL car out of one.

Dare to be different. Course if I'm in that mood I pick a Thing but an Isetta is a good choice too.

That pic of an Isetta pulling a tear drop is hilarious. Wonder what the top speed on that combo is.

I think that the stopping would be the exciting part.

How coincidental! While vacationing in Santa Fe last week, I saw a guy driving one of these around. Looked like a great way to get around the inner city, but there is no way it would work well (safely) on the highway.
