Dammit must take picture of my bike.... (note to self: put gas tank back on before taking picture).
RockOrge... I've already gushed about your commando. Scooter... Suzuki, damn good choice. When I take a pic it will be a semi restored 77 Suzuki GS550 (with 82 front suspention and a 79 fender... thanks ebay) |
This is my Yamaha SECA 2 600, its my third bike. I got it because it's great for just getting around town, but you can take it out of the freeway without much trouble either. I also like how it doesn't have too much power for what I need.

It's a Kawasaki Kz-400. It's his first bike. Hey yarbonwick,
I just got my '03 R6 and it has the same farings as your R1. Did you take the ferring off a new R6? |
|
Ha! I'll be damned. I'm a fool for not looking there first. I thought the black with flames paint was only on the R6.
How do you like your R1 so far? Is it your first street bike? Here's a pic of mine. Its got about 1400 miles on it now.
|
HOLY SHIT TRON!!!!
That swing arm looks wicked. |
yeah yeah...the R6 rules ALL!!!! its won the last 3 superbike races in a row.
I love my blue 6 all sleek and pimp...no flames on mine..but hey..I still have the wicked cool rear swing arm. |

you wouldn't stand a chance against this you can't even see the badass "choppers for life" sticker or the as of yet non-functional hand shifter |
Quote:
First year I had the 929 I put over 15, 000 miles on her. Love the new R1 even better though. |
just can't go wrong with a gixxer750.. it's the perfect bike in my opinion..
|
Until the shift rod goes out. Otherwise I agree - great bike.

I really like the look of your bike Nate. I like that Japinese chopper thing. The Jesse James chopper thing is cool, but getting old.
|
dont worry, that jesse james chopper thing is a fad, just like 70's choppers.
there are guys out there building REAL hd chops, they're just low profile dudes, fuck everyone else |
Quote:
Seriously, that's an awesome rare bike. |
nate_dawg, looking damn nice. Should be a helluva scoot when you get finished. Is that a shock under the seat or just a spring set up?
|
Quote:
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo who would do that? give the fucking thing to me if you're just going to throw it off a cliff! |
rockogre, it's a rock shox sid air shock from a mountain bike of some sort
|
my bike looks just like this
http://www.imagearts.ryerson.ca/dgreen/82honda_broc.jpg except this is a 750 and mine is a 650. also, mine isnt quite as clean and shiny as this. still, it was dirt cheap and is a fun little sportabout. |
Here's my Y2k ZRX1100

One of the things I like best about this bike is the sound it makes while winding out - just like a Ferrari as it pulls up through the gears. That and the flying picket fence effect of seeing all those exhaust pipes coming at you is pretty cool. It is claimed this bike has the most moving parts ever put between two wheels. Here's a great review of the bike. http://www.cbxclub.com/davespage/cyc81-1.html |
My ride *just had to sell*pout*
Here are some pix of my bike. Just had to sell it last week, I miss it already....
2000 GSXR600 with D&D racing CF pipe...the sounds this thing made gave me goosebumps.. http://portfolio.iu.edu/ktenbrin/GSXR/GSXR600pic7-1.jpg http://portfolio.iu.edu/ktenbrin/GSXR/GSXR600pic1-1.JPG http://portfolio.iu.edu/ktenbrin/GSXR/GSXR600pic5-1.jpg http://portfolio.iu.edu/ktenbrin/GSXR/GSXR600pic6-1.jpg Maybe I'll be saddling up a Ducati in the next couple of years if I play my cardz right......we will have to see! Inredo |

I have an '81 Honda Nighthawk. Been having fever-dreams about doing the Japanese Chopper thing to it.
I wonder about my sanity. |
Kawasaki ZZr 250 '94
http://home.kooee.com.au/rbuscombe/dsc00930.jpg not a very good pic unfortunately :( |
Billege I can't see your bike. Could you please sort it out?!
|
This isn't my bike, but I thought it was rather different. Spied it strapped down on a boat in Victoria Harbor, British Columbia, Canada. Notice the antlers and the tail and the bell.

My dads bike..1938 Knucklehead in a softail frame with a foot clutch and hand shifter next to the oil tank. |
a knuck in a softail frame?
why?? the horror |
Nice knuck. Did he lose a bet on the frame though?
Admittedly, my Honda has a sprung rear, but I don't have the scratch to blow on a new frame for it. Still diggin' on nate_dawg's Yamaha though. I hope to build a Triumph or Yama-bobber as my next project after the CB750-K4 that I'm working on now. What all do you have left to do aside from paint, nate? |
