i usually pull past the spot and back in... ive never hit another vehicle while parking... or any stationary items

I've done that before. It was almost completely by accident, too. I handbrake-turned around a corner, ended up pulling almost a 180, and backed into a parking space. Some guy in an SUV looked like he had been planning to park there, passed me giving me thumbs up.

they have underground racing clubs in Europe that do shit like that, even parrallel parking at high speeds. tried to find some info but it was to hard to google.
