I don't drive yet but I usually see my bro wait around 5-6 min then start the car.

As long as you dont live in extremely cold weather, your car only takes a couple minutes to warm.

Man, I never warm anything up...unless you count waiting in the driveway for my wife to finish getting ready to go...

I get ready in the morning, start the car, come back in, pack up the laptop, pour a cup of coffee, piss, put my shoes back on and then go out to the car. This generally takes at least 5 minutes. That, and I like getting into a warm car. Big, thick jackets are combersome when wearing seatbelts.
