Car riding really rough...help?

So, my car has been riding rather rough as of late. It feels like its coming from the transmission, but i don't even know if that is possible. It just shakes and vibrates, 4th gear is pretty bad.

Its a 91 talon TSI AWD. Any thoughts...or questions?

several possible causes.

wheel(s) out of balance

collapsed spring(s)

overinflated tires

flat tires (had to be said! )

Busted motor or tranny mount

bent wheel

blown shock

i could probably think of more if you gave us more specifics.

Start with the easiest/obvious and work your way down

Tires/wheels out of balance would be the first thing I'd have checked. Its not tough for wheel weights to slip.

It doesn't really get worse the faster I go, fourth gear just seems to be the most rough of all.

Im really weary of it being a tire problem, it just feels like a tranny problem, i don't know how else to say it.
