Porsche 911GT 1969

I'm trying to figure out the approximate value of this vehicle. It is low mileage, 30K, single owner, actually has not been run on the road for 10-20 years, started yes driven no. I've looked through eBay motors, Kelley Blue book, auto trader and others. I keep getting stumped because of the age and rarity of the vehicle. I've been told very few of this model were made. Any links to a site would be helpful.

try finding a Black Book value. I think it costs like .75cents per eval, but it takes into account rarity and such, it has more of a realistic street value than kbb does sometimes.

Thanks, but they only go back to 1989. I keep getting stuck by the age of the vehicle.

I had a ball park guess etc. from a friend of just that, 18K, but I wanted a real source to site. The quote is for my father in law so he's never going to believe it unless I can show him a source. Thanks!

I've never heard of this model. I can't even find it on Google other than a couple of references to a '69 911GT being entered into car shows. No offense, but are you sure you don't mean a 911T?

No it does exist, very few of these were made I'm told, less than a thousand. It was a racing model for the street. Its in a garage at their house I'll have to investigate further.

Methinks the same thing.....

Pretty sure that hot factory race 911's went under the RS tag from that era. S/Carrera models were the hot street car. Keep in mind though, 1000 of anything for Porsche was a huge quantity in 1968 (1969 model year). Factory prepped race versions were built in low, homologation quanitities which are nowhere near 1000.

Best bet would be registering at www.pca.org and ask the forums rather than speculate. A few years back in New England, someone found a barn stored, 1949 Gmund Porsche stored which may have been one of the first ~5 in the US so you just never know what you might find. Like anything, knowledge is key when buying an old, maybe rare, maybe high value, car.

post on rennlist.com

A lot of guys who write the 911 books are there, they'll be able to help you out. I believe at least one of them has a value chart for most 911's.
