Pearl Jam Concert

So, I finally got to see PJ last saturday. The album Ten came out when I was 10 and I have been waiting ever since. There was that whole sordid ticketmaster deal, and bad timing to boot. But anyway, it was well worth the waite. I have never been to a show where the audience was thanked so much, at least 12 times. Eddie likes to talk to the audience to, I think its because he drinks and smokes so much on stage, and he needs to catch his breath. At one point he brought out the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine that he's on the cover of and proceeded to wipe his ass with it. He's got a stack of about 50 he sais and always wipes his ass with them. He says they pissed him off because the whole band was supposed to be on the cover, not just him. Which I thaught was really cool, giving his band props.

Just curious if any other TFPers have caught this tour, or any others and what you thought.

I searched, but is there a "summer concert series" thread?

Join the 10club. Fan clubs sound so "teenybopper", but pj reserves seats at every show for fan club members, and they go on sale before the ones to the public do. They are usually floor seats, with some of the oldest members getting front row.

It's only $20.00 a year, you get two magazines, the ticket bonus, and at X-mass you get a fan club only unreleased 45 record.

Saw PJ in May in Boston. As always, a great show. I've seen them 7 times now, the first being at a small club when Ten came out. They are truly one of, if not the, best band touring these days.

I went to go see Pearl Jam a few years ago at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Detroit. It was really a good time and the seats weren't too bad either. I would say it was one of the more enjoyable concerts that I have been to.

I saw them at the United Center in Chicago. One of the best concerts I've been to. If/when their next tour is, I'll be sure to catch their Chicago stop, and I'll possibly even travel to catch them a second time, I enjoyed it that much.

I've been wanting to see them live for so long. Ten was the second album I ever bought back when I was like 8 (yeah, it was quite a few years after it had already been released). I've been a huge fan ever since.

I saw them at that concert too. Pretty good, and as a bonus, My Morning Jacket was the opening act!

I don't think I've ever smelled the joints being lit up at a more furious pace at a concert than at that one.
