The Music Game
Similar to Word Association, the Music Game however, has an ulterior motive.
Following on from the last music piece or song title posted above you, your music piece or song title must include at least ONE of the words in the previous title. Each title must be word for word therefore no word variations, ie bohemia for bomemian, can be used in titles and title repetitions are disallowed. The objective - keep the thread going for as many pages as possible. So let's make music starting with Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody Hungarian Rhapsody (Franz Liszt, 1846-1853 but artist info not necessary) |
Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue
is that the way it works? |
sure is
blue lady |
I presume at this point that I can't repeat "Rhapsody", but later in the game "Rhapsody" could be used again?
Lady in Red |

"I Saw Her Standing There"
|
Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth With Money In My Hand
(Best title ever, but the song? eh.) |
Money (That's What I Want)
|
"I Want You to Want Me"
|
Wanted dead or alive
|
/crosspost, too late
|
Quote:
'Rhapsody' can be used later in the game again if it's in the title above you but neither Bohemian, Hungarian or in Blue can be used alongside the new 'Rhapsody' title. Alive and Kicking |
Kicking Daisies.
(That's the name of the band as well. 4 teenagers, great vocal harmonies. They are in the middle of going national at the moment.) |

(Whew! I thought that "plucking" would be a dead end!) |

The Scrapple Song |
Mosquito Song
|
Daniel's Song
(ditto Redlemon!) |
|
"Daniel" -Elton John
Sorry to leave you with only one word to work with, but it's the song I was named after and I couldn't pass it up. |
hey that's the whole objective of the game Punk of Ages, to stump the players which you've done
however when researching Elton's song, Daniel, it appears the song's correct title is 'Daniel' and not Daniel's Song as i posted following on from Martian's Mosquito Song other than that thou', Daniel had already been used so going by the rules Punk, repetitions aren't allowed so your post is null and void but then it would appear the same for The Scrapple Song, posted by Leto, which official title is Scrapple on it's own so we need to back-track to RedLemon's Scrapple From the Apple Scrapple From the Apple Candy Apple but if i'm wrong about Daniel or Scrapple, pls put me right |
"Candy Store Rock"
|
rock with you

You didn't credit the artist, but, had I paid more attention, I would have known which song you were talking about. I apologize for derailing the game a bit. _____________________ On with the game: "You Were Meant For Me" -Jewel |
I also thought the Scrapple song was completey different from Scrapple the Apple. in fact I'm sure it is... however:
Don't You Feel Small? |
hey it happens Punk and i hadn't even heard off Scrapple The Apple until now Leto - or Candy Apple so i had to google Scrapple
Scrapple IS completely different from Scrapple The Apple but because we needed to back-track, Scrapple was a null & void entry A Small Victory ps: i've also changed the game's objective to keep the thread going for as many pages as possible |
Victory over Peter Bones, by Reel Big Fish
And yes, much better to keep the game going, I like the rule change. Should we post links to the songs when available? |
up to the individual posting links to a song if available Redlemon
the only reason i don't is to avoid a post beating mine but should anyone want to challenge my title, i can post a link then if necessary Over You |
Only You,

Summertime Rolls - Jane's Addiction
"me & my girlfriend don't wear no clothes her nose is painted pepper sunlight" |
umm, I think the rules are not to use a key word 3 times in a row.
so the nest open options are -All I Need is- correct me if I'm wrong ? |
yep, that's correct.
|
no that's NOT correct Boink
key words, ie Summertime in this instance, can be used as many times as anyone can come up with a title containing Summertime - BUT NOT REPEATING ANY TITLES CONTAINING SUMMERTIME PREVIOUSLY GIVEN Leto and so, back to the game summertime blues |
thanks for that vodka...heh, if that's the case I should have kept some I edited out.
sorry for the confusion there jimk, my bad |

|
not necessarily so Leto
keywords can be used as many times as differing music pieces or song titles allow whether they be used 5,10, 15 posts later or one post after another....... but are NOT used to duplicate previous music pieces/song titles listed ---------- Post added at 09:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:06 PM ---------- and so summertime blues guess that's why they call it the blues |
