therapy, or other instramental music suggestions?

hello guys!. i was bound to post this one sometime, and i hope i get responses.

does anyone know of some good instramental artists.

what i'm looking for is music you would hear during either massage classes (like with the sound of the waves and the nature sounds). failing that, i would like any suggestions of easy listening instramental artists i can play in the background. i know 1 i wanted was an instramental version of the song " do you know where you're going to?" by diana rosss, but don't know where to get that.

i all ready use some cds, 1 called " relax" and a couple of cds of sounds of the rainforest (got in london's rain forest cafae)

the reason i want suggestions for new instramental material is for stuff i can use to listen to relax at the end of a hard day, stuf i can use as background interludes, and also to add to my collection of healing therapy music.

probhably a weird thread, but if you annalise my username it won't be so odd, trust me!

thanks, and i look forward to getting some suggestions

Now, I'm newb, and the forums still think I'm a bot, so I can't post any links. But! Google rainymood and follow the links, it's a good 30 minutes of a rainstorm. back that with anything jazzy and calm (Try "the fragrance of dark coffee" on youtube) and you have one very relaxing atmosphere. Also, bonus points if you get that track on endlessyoutube (a youtube looping website.) I would post all the links, but can't yet. may update when I can :3
Up-day-ted.
Links for those still interested. open both on seperate tabs (middle mouse button click opens links on seperate tabs!)

I'm partial to piano music, probably because I grew up with siblings who played. Check out Christopher O'Riley. He has done some soothing piano renditions of Radiohead songs, which are multi-layered and melodic.

With piano music, what immediately comes to mind with regard to the OP is Erik Satie's Gymnopédies. Absolutely fantastic and highly recommended. It's best listened to during a rainy day while gazing out the window.

*raises hand* I'm a massage therapist.

My personal favorite artist to play during a session is Liquid Mind. The music is completely impossible to listen to directly - your brain just slips off of it. What is also cool is that the artist was the keyboard player for the 80s band "Missing Persons". He has about 10 albums; pick any one, there are all pretty much the same.

Beyond that -- do you want natural sounds? ethnic music (Indian, Japanese, Celtic)? acoustic instruments only? electric instruments? rhythm or no rhythm? Give me some guidelines, I'll give you more suggestions.

am i allowed to post links?

may be easier to describe what i'm looking for that way.

but, what i really want is quiet music, with sounds of nature or the sound of the ocean (even would be nice if it was taken out). just music that you can listen to and feel like you are relaxing.. if you get me?.

i don't want anything with drums in it. just pianos, guitars, maybe violins and other string instraments, keyboards, i don't want anything that could be mistaken for something you would hear in somewhere like africa, though i would like some more celtic stuff too. again, not with drums, just with gentle voices in the background. i'm looking for the melody more than the nature sounds. with the nature sounds, i don't want them on there own. i want them backed to music.

okay.. have i confused you?

maybe it's best if i provide a link to something i'm after?

i'm not sure..

i await your response

I think you are cleared to post links by now. Give it a try. If not, PM a moderator and say I'm waiting for a link from you in this thread.
