a friend and i had lined up tickets to see the White Stripes show in Pittsburgh, on Aug 1, only to hear today that Jack White broke his finger in a car crash, and had postponed shows up to the 10th of august. Wondering if anyone knows or has heard any rumours as to when these shows are going to be rescheduled? or rather, if theyre going to be rescheduled.

were deciding now whether or not we should refund the tickets.

The whole current leg of the tour has been cancelled, but I haven't gotten any info from ticket master about refunds. I plan on calling and harrassing them for information tomorrow. I had tickets for the pittsburgh show as well and was really looking forward to it, although it was strange paying $30 to see a band I once paid $5 to see. Ah well, times change, your favorite musicians become strange and filled up with themselves and overdubbing and begin wearing lipstick. such is life...

well in regards to your question on refunds, theres a customer service number to call, one can obtain it from the ticketmaster website. among the options is dealing with currently postponed shows.

from what i gather, one has a couple options

1) wait for a rescheduling of the show, current tickets will be honored.

2)refund;
a)return tickets to point of sale (ie, the venue), where ticket price will be refunded.
b)return ticket to ticketmaster via post, address will be given on the phone service board.

id like for them to refund me the goddamn "service fee", but i guess thats asking a bit much. i wouldnt be very surprised if they charged yet another fee just for refunding.
