Furthurnet
Does anyone use furthurnet? It ia a great pear to pear music downloading software that only deals with live music from bands that allow their concerts to be recorded and traded freely. Their are mp3 or SHN to trade. If your not familiar, SHN is a lossless sound file which is larger, but does not degrade the original music file...

Awhile back on Furthurnet, you could download whole shows in an hour...now it takes a really long time. Has anyone had any problems with it running super slow?

I have seen the same. I started trading shows by using ftp sites from etree. I went to furthurnet, because the ftp sites became so difficult to access, they only let in a few at a time and tons of people are trying. However the download speeds were great. Furthernet is slower, but you can pick and choose what you want very easily. Also, I found myself getting music from bands I never would have listened too. I have been messing with bit torrent downloads for some recent Phish shows, but they ussually fad e out as people lose interest.
Anyway, ity is good to see some "heads" here. Maybe we can figure out a way to do some trading... |

I'd be down for some trading...I gotta get a list together though, I've been slacking. Anyway, that sounds like a good idea.
