Shameless Plug for My New Band

My new band, Chris Plays Guitar, just cut a few demos to tape. The quality is poor, but I would enjoy any feedback that you might have.

Drunken Mexico Weekend
Succumb
Bar Room Desires

Well, I do have a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell. I have this tiny, Tito-Puente-esque cowbell, but it's not deep enough.

Kewl, dude. I like the old-fashioned style, 70's? Definitely not 80's. I haven't been alive long enough to know enough styles to tell you what this sounds like, but you guys sound a little bit like a few local bands where I live. I guess most bands start out all sounding a little bit alike, no offense or anything, you guys sound cool. I'm sure you'll get a handle on your band's style in time.

Hmm... the music to "Succumb" kicks a lot of ass, and the singing is pretty good. Is that a piano? It kinda sounds like a piano... or a clean guitar. I was about to say that the songs needs a solo, but then it suddenly started playing. The solo is decent, could use a bit of work. I of course am no one to speak-- my soloing skills suck

Recording for the last song doesn't seem to be too good, can't always tell what the singer is saying. Hmm... pretty good music on that song too. Ah, hehehe. Some of the lyrics are pretty funny. Ya know, for some reason "bar room desires" might go well with certain scenes from an anime called Cowboy Bebop. Kewl song, man. Umm... I hope the mods don't get mad at you for plugging.

I like the last two. Succumb is good and the other one is kinda fun. Counting Crows have any influence? I can sense the influence of somebody but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Asta!!

Thanks for all the good comments.

For what it's worth, our latest live show is online at http://www.chrisplaysguitar.com/audio/

There are too many influences to list them all, but yes, I've been listening to Counting Crows for years now.
