haven't tried one myself (as much as I would like to), but I've heard nothing but good things from people who have. Should be money well spent.

well, here's the thing.
they are low(ish) end, so you're going to be getting a (lowish) end guitar. they look fantastic, the as83 is one of my favoruite looking guitars.. but hanging out with techs and such, and really taking a good look into the guitar, looks are it's best part. most people who have played them have agreed that they feel pretty nice, nice neck, great action etc, all the traits of a nice hollow/semi hollowbody, but the bridge, routing, pickups and all that hardware type things are not up to snuff for such a great looking guitar. but, if you like the guitar, than all means buy it. a good guitar is one that you like, so it doesnt matter if youre throwing down $200 for a squire, or $3400 for a Les Paul Custom... |

Yea I know it's a fairly cheap guitar but that's not a problem. That's really what I'm looking for. The only thing I didn't like about it was the pickups. I keep all my other guitars in their case. I need something that I like the feel of to leave out so I can grab it whenever the mood hits. I liked the fact that I can play a hollowbody without having to amp it and still get a little tone from it. So the pickups won't be an issue. I've got a Les and a Strat to plug in. Hell, it'll look good hanging on the wall anyway. Thanks for the replies.
