good driving music

Just wondering what the rest of you listen to while behind the wheel.

I'm currently rolling with some mudvayne, some manson, and a few custom burnt cd's. Usually varied by what kind of mood I'm in.

I really like the lastest White Strips cd. Used to listen to Sabbath, but that cd sorta wore out, now it skips too much.

Well I like to listen to some Rage Against the Machine while I drive, or Ministry. I really only listen to Rage when I have a good stereo system with lots of bass. I reserve Soundgarden or Pearl Jam for my headphones.

Early Beatles. Either 1962-1966 (red album), or any of the pre-Sgt. Pepper original releases.

Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf

Great, GREAT driving feel.

Lostprophets - The Fake Sound of Progress is great too... some songs are laid back and relaxing, but you won't fall asleep at the wheel, because the next one will give you a nice surge.

I can always listen to Tool.

While just cruising around town, and working on not getting tickets so my insurance rates will hopefully drop I tend to listen to...

Run DMC
Pharcyde
LTJ Bukem
Mushroom Jazz
Acid Jazz

While going snowboarding I'll generally listen to...

Sublime
Beastie Boys
and Tool

On roadtrips when I've been going for 10+ hours straight, and need a bit of energy I'll pop in my two old energy techno...

DJ Ruffneck
Blank & Jones (either of these CDs never come out for any other reason well, I listen to DJ Ruffneck while Quakin', but been a long time since I've even done that).

ewww.

that stuff doesn't remind me of the road, it reminds me of radio stations blaring commercials and songs converted to advertisements.

If it's been used to hawk applebee's processed food, it does not belong in my stereo.

ahem. that said, I record dance and world music, along with some good hip hop, off of shoutcast.com. XM radio also has a great selection of tunes, and is easy to use.

I drive 150 miles a day delivering stuff, I know what I like in my truck.

All depends on the mood since I listen to just about every kind of music.

After work it's usually System of a Down (I'm a programmer, i gotta get that rage out somehow).

Before work, usually some Dave Matthews, classic rock, or rarely classical.

When I got a girl with me, it's Barry White all the way (just a joke y'all)
