Has anybody had any luck or experience using a korg Kaoss pad as a midi controller for another synth?

I'm trying a pretty nerdy setup without much midi experience.

I've used a Kaos pad before..but not really for what you're using it for. I had one setup with the mixer so I could manipulate sound differently; which you don't really need for mixes now with the great technology of the new mixers. If you using it in production type settings it could be pretty cool.

yeah we are using it for effects and its synth sounds. but i'm thinking you could do some really cool keyboard things with the touchpad as midicontroler for notes/volume or cutoff etc.

hope springs i suppose,
