Fejd - Swedish Folk Rock

I stumbled across this band, Fejd the other day and I think they're quite good. They have two albums avaliable for download on their website (for free) and both are excellent.

The music itself is Swedish folk rock. It's hard to describe exactly what it sounds like, but there's guitars (both acoustic and electric), drums, bagpipes, harps, and I think I even heard a Didjeridu in one of the songs. The singing, of course, is in Swedish and fits with the music quite well. The songs themselves are mostly three or four minutes in length are are quite jumpy while still maintaining that folky bardlike feel.

The songs you should definitly give a listen to are:

Yggdrasil (for some reason I feel a pirate-ish vibe in this song)
Rimfaxe
Aring
Huldran

I hope someone out there enjoys this! (Actually all I'm hoping for right now is for this thread to have more than 1 or 2 replies).

Never heard of Fejd even though I live in sweden and listen to some folkrock. I am gonna check it up.

Btw, if you like folkrock, try Hedningarna . Swedish folkrock pioneers and the best ever. Check out the albums "Trä" and "Hippjokk".

Alright, a reply! I've heard from several Swedes that the singer of Fejd has a strange pronounciation for things. I don't speak Swedish, so it's not like I can tell anyway, but you would probably notice it.

I'll check out Hedningarnafor sure. Thanks for the recommendation!
