I took theses two photos this morning for a challenge in a photography group I am participating in and I thought I would carry it over here. It's a macro group and the challenge was 'textures'...but for the purposes of this thread we will expand it to include any macro shot - macro defined as any capture that comes close to or magnifies the actual size of what is being photographed.

And just to be clear, the photos submitted should be taken for this challenge and not pics that you have in your files. Pick up your camera and go get 'em.
