Earlier this week, I got a new camera, a Nikon D300. Today, I finally got a chance to get out and use it. Here are a few shots, all in Randsburg, California.

Ooooh!! What an awesome camera!

How is the 51 point AF system? To me that seems like an absolutely giant number and it pisses me off that canon only uses 9 point.

I shot half the day using the single point focus, and then while shooting that steeple, it occurred to me to use that AF system. Coming from a D50 and its 5-point system, the D300 is practically effortless.

Superb pictures, I think you would take great pictures even on a keyring camera.
