In my area of the world there are thousands of small swamps dotting the landscape. Oftentimes roads were build at their edge offering a opportunity for some quick pictures from the roadside.

These images were taken today at a small swamp in mid Florida just as the vegetation is awakening from its winter sleep.

I love photographing these swamps. I have hundreds of these images and although all are similar, all are decidedly different.

Pretty nice shots, I hope that nice spring weather is on its way up here in Tennessee soon.

I like swamps too, I grew up in area dotted with them and loved exploring them as a kid. Now as an adult...I don't know there is just something about them I love.

I was thinking it looked like Ocala when I first saw it.
