Hiking Down the Grand Canyon

This is about 1/8th of the way down. No digital retouching done at all.

Cool... Does it take long to get a pass to get down there?

Nice - looks like a great day to be there. I have been there twice and will return again many more times.

I really gotta get to the Grand Canyon and witness its... errr... grandness.

The way the lines of the cliff and the lines of the clouds contrast makes for a very striking picture... Nice one!

MMM,

Makes me want to go back there.

If you've never been, the scale is unimaginable, even when it is right in front of your eyes.

Wonderful pictures!

Bright Angel. Didn't stay at Phantom Ranch -- I joined a river rafting trip, and did the lower half of the Canyon.

Never again will I do a half trip, because of that hike. Only a full one.

The Phantom Ranch was an enjoyable stay, and a well deserved rest. When we got to the bottom of the canyon our calves were destroyed! Thanks for the pic, and Lebell is correct, if you have never been, the scale is unimaginable.

Excellent pictures through the canyon. I always like landscape pictures, especially with the depth..

It's really amazing what water and a lot of time can do. Thanks for sharing the grandeur that is the canyon with us. I want to go there eventually but for now I'll have to live vicariously through you
