"Robo-calls" Have you received any?
We have called ID, and I Google numbers that pop in, and its usually services that we have used in the past that are exempted from the "do not call" list.
For several days in a row I got a number from Virginia and plugged it in to Google and it was a McCain robocall. I decided to answer it and all it asked was "Are you registered to vote?" and answered yes and it said "thanks and you may be contacted in the future". Not sure what kind of hell I just unleashed but I guess I will find out. As I have stated, I'm in a solid red state and that was the only call I've had. I heard on CNN that battleground states are getting 10-12 calls a day from both sides. Is anyone experience this in those states? |
This is one of those times that just justifies not having a home phone, I dont have to deal with any of this. My mother says its been bad

I actually got a lot of Robocalls on my cell during the primary. Of course, I'm politically active and I only have a cell, so that may have something to do with it. They were all in the last day or two before the primary.

I'm in Ohio and have been surprised not to have gotten any. Does the do not call list block these?
|
No, the legislation creating the do not call list specifically exempts political calls.
|
well, it's surprising I havent' gotten any then
|
I never answer a call I don't recognize.

What's way worse is the mailings. No exaggeration, for the past 2 months we have been getting at least 10 of those "giant postcards" a day. Talk about wasteful. :shakehead: |
