Good to see the lawsuit brought by Fox against him was tossed, as well.

First Janeine Garafalo, now Al Franken? Is Crossfire trying to suck on purpose?

Just as they were about to enjoy their creamy beverage, three flies landed in each of their pints. The Englishman pushed his beer away in disgust. The Scotsman fished the fly out of his beer and continued drinking it, as if nothing had happened. The Irishman, too, picked the fly out of his drink but then held it out over the beer and yelled "SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT, YOU BASTARD!"

The sole reason that Al Franken has any sort of credibility with the "left" is because of his book (that somehow got published and hyped in the "right wing media") entitled "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot". That book was pretty symbolic for the entire liberal strategy for dealing with Limbaugh -- piece together half a dozen of this quotes out of context in an attempt to discredit him, and hope that no one notices.

From what I've seen of him in interviews / appearances, he doesn't have the ability to do much but criticize policy without offering any sort of alternative, and make fun of someone's weight.

If I watched Crossfire in the first place, I would be disappointed.

So, you read this book, then? You are qualified to make judgements on it? You know what the book was about? Because if you did/are/do know, you wouldn't be looking like such an ass right now. The book was a satire on the breakdown of polite political discourse and reversion to namecalling. Sure, there's some stuff in there about how Rush does lie about how Reaganomics was good for the poor, but pretty much, he adopts the Rush tactic and applies it to Rush to show how silly the tactic is. The tactic, by the by, is the "liberal strategy" for dealing with Rush. I always felt the liberal strategy for dealing with Rush was trying not to snicker openly at his impotence and idiocy. How's Rush doing these days, by the way?

Flame on, the endless unwinable battle of the left and right. Our very own Palestine and Israel border. Beond that, celeberities that express political view points should hold no more weight over you decisions than Joe down the blocks opinions. Being a Thespian does not give you any magical political insight. Playing a President on T.V. does not make you one. I would like them all to stick with entertainment and entertain me. Com'on Al make me laugh like you used to. You're not so funny anymore.

Sorry, seretogis, but you made it too easy.

I read his books. In fact, I finished my paperback copy of the Rush Limbaugh book (with all the extra stuff) yesterday.

I thought it was funny. It's a funny book.

I mean, come on, he suggests shooting the elderly into space to solve the budget crisis?!?!

If anybody should be upset it's the Gingrich fanboys. Franken razzed him a lot more than Limbaugh
