I have an...interesting dilemma on my hands, and I (and my wife) thought posting it here might offer some insights. It's in a similar vein as Mandy; we're looking to have a threesome, but the problem is finding the right person. We're looking for someone who fits certain criteria, but not really sure how to go about searching.
We're wary about checking online personals, especially the "adult" ones, simply because 99.99999% of them are complete garbage. Hopefully an enlightened TFPer can help us in our search.

Find some local swing clubs in your area that aren't full of cliques and pressure. They often have new member and guest nights where you can go and check things out for free. Just make sure you follow the rules as each club is slightly different.

Why don't you try checking out a site like www.redclouds.com? If you are not familiar with it, it's a site for people to submit their explicit amateur pictures. Quite a few of the pictures are from swingers.

Each series of pictures has a place for you to leave comments. You aren't going to find a partner on Redclouds because odds are the folks in the pictures don't live in your town. But a sincere question about how to find partners, like the one you wrote at the top of the post, might get a respectful response. Gotta be better than the stuff on the commercial swinger sites.

And don't worry... the folks who submit their pics to Redclouds will read your comment. They're exhibitionsists! They care what people think about the pics!

They are known as Unicorns, for what should be an obvious reason.

Odds of finding a Unicorn on an online add are slim. Most are guys pretending to be female for whatever reasons.

Of the real Unicorns I've met, most had major life issues which is what led them to look for this kind of thing actively. Sometimes its something mundane like a divorce and wanting to be 'free', often times they are batshit insane.

Thats not to say that Unicorns in this context don't exist, only that finding them is at best difficult.

Your best bet in these situations is normally if your wife does the looking, and looking directly. Its not that women are not open to the idea of a threesome, its that women don't tend to be upfront about it and post an add. Out at parties etc, she needs to drop those hints and find a woman interested.

Another issue is supply and demand. Unicorns being rare, are in great demand. I'll add that, again for obvious reasons, many couples are looking for an FMF over say a MFM or a swap. Those unicorns who are 'real' really have their pick, and their dance cards are always full.

So good luck with the Unicorn hunt. They can be successful, but it will be quite rare that you can just find one looking for you, you need to actively pursue.
