Hi, Halx! Well, I knew that I was not attracted to boys very early in my childhood. Even before my teens I had crushes on other girls but because my family is so homophobic, I would never dare let my feelings show. I tried to be a “normal” daughter/sister in the presents of my family, but the more I tried the more I realized that I was lesbian. When I was 19 my father set me up with his best friends son and suggested that, “we were meant for each other” and that “he’d make the perfect husband for me.” The rest of the family mostly agreed and for the sake of their feelings, I played along with it thinking that I may be bi after all? It was a huge mistake! Two years (or almost two years) of living hell confirmed that I was certainly not bi, and I narrowly escaped getting married to him!

My relationships with women over the years were mostly short term and it wasn’t really serious love but rather like…um… “Friendly fuck buddies,” I guess you could say, or perhaps like boy meets girl dating only its girl meets girl. Although I think it is a bit harder for women to meet other women locally (at least for me it is) as compared boys meeting girls. I never cared much for “finding love online” and I don’t hang out in gay bars. I was always particular of girls I intended to sleep with and I would never just hop in bed with the first girl who was willing. I have to at least get to know her first, and good hygiene is an absolute must. I’m currently in a relationship with a girl that I met in a rather unique way but it’s a long story and belongs in another thread. Anyway, I hope this answers your questions and if not, just ask away. I don’t mind talking about it. I’m not nearly this outspoken in person, though. I’m actually shy on the subject in the company of people I’m around daily; except for friends that I trust and who already know.

Thanks, your response was very informative. I wonder how you interpret your feelings for girls. Do you feel that its natural or that nobody ever conditioned you to think otherwise?

My being attracted to women seems perfectly natural to me. Just as I’m sure heterosexual people feel that it’s perfectly natural for them to be attracted to the opposite sex. I’ve actually did a lot of self evaluating in the past to try and determine why I feel this way. The simple answers that I came up with came from comparing the two. Men’s legs compared to women’s leg’s, men’s lips to women’s lips (I love beautiful lips) men’s chest compared to women’s breasts, and the biggest difference, the penis compared to the vagina. Men have this…um…hunk o f meat hanging there that I honestly don’t find attractive at all, and the vagina is like a flower in my opinion. Not to mention that girls have way cooler clothes and shoes to choose from as well.

Aside from visual differences I find that women are more considerate, caring and passionate during sex and I’ve never once had to fake an orgasm. In fact I often experience multiple orgasms with female partners; which is something men never did for me. Sure I was told that lesbianism is wrong and that I would grow up and marry a man and “honor and obey him” and have a house with a little dog and raise his children and live happily ever after. That was the fairy tale that I was “conditioned” to believe anyway. Who knows, maybe I’ll wake up some day and say, “Hmm, mom and dad were right, I’m going to go out and find a man and get married!” lol…I seriously doubt it.

Thanks. This might seem like a threadjack, but I think it plays well into encouraging women to talk about their experiences or desires.
