Lactation- serious question!

This is directed to anyone with experience with lactation- ladies or partners of ladies who have.

Basically, my wife and I have been attempting to get pregnant for a few months. She's been pregnant twice before, a year ago (short-term pregnancy, unfortunately), and nine years ago (had the baby, everything smooth).

She isn't pregnant yet, yet she's begun lactating a bit. I can coax a few drops out of her breast within a few seconds. It doesn't seem to be an overwhelming amount, but most folks I've spoken to haven't run into this. Should there be any cause for concern? Is this relatively common? Might this be an offshoot of her desire to become pregnant? Is there any possibility of complications regarding a future pregnancy?

Any help is appreciated. I've done google searches and found some information, but ya'll seem like a good group to rely on for "real world" answers.

Thanks in advance...

*Edit* We do plan to see her doctor, regardless, as we're trying to get pregnant. Thanks for those comments!

If you're concerned, have her speak with her doctor.

Keep on rolling. It only hurts for a little while.

Most hospitals with maternity wards have lactation specialists. Would probably be worth having your wife give them a call. Better to talk to a professional. Ease both your minds.

That can happen when certain hormone levels are high-ish. Some women get a couple drops at certain points of their cycle or on certain birth control pills.

That said, you might want have her see her doctor just to be sure.
