Hmmm... I'm surprised to see this topic even exist. I am in a relationship now that is based on getting to know each other. We have agreed to go no farther than kissing. Her parents think it's incredibly weird. All of our friends think we're being ridiculous, but we have our reasons. I actually have a number of reasons for doing this. If anyone actually cares about any of them, I'll list them next time I'm here.

I need to connect physically and mentally with my partner. If both aspects aren't in synch they relationship will eventually deteriorate. A piece of paper stating I'm married will have no affect as to whether or not the sex is good and we are on the same page mentally. If's its not good, I won't be around for long.

Ricockulous. Definitely not worth waiting for any longer than it takes to call the person up and have them over to your house. I'm not a long term investment kinda person, I need immediate returns. And the religious nutballs have been bamboozled into believing this is something that needs to be cherished and saved.
