Hey, its turned out wonderfull! Other than a little initial difficulty with my SO learning how to get her mouth around it, its been wonderfull. I'm happy with it, she's happy with it, its all good.

(I skipped through a lot of these posts, so maybe I missed something, but...)

Last I checked (i.e. lecture from a professional old school piercer/tatooer), you're supposed to start with a much bigger gauge (i.e. smaller diameter) and stretch it out to the desired gauge over time so you avoid ripping/tearing, stretching, etc.

Why did you start with such a big gauge?

You can do it that way, but starting at a smaller diameter has a much larger chance of tearing out than a larger one. Also stretching puts a lot more stress on the tissue, so you have that to worry about it. You are also talking about much much longer time until its a size that you are comfortable with and a lot of time you are uncomfortable having sex while its healing.
