What is your own experience?

I have to agree that I have more enjoyment nowdays, and so does my partner, compared to women I was with in my 20's.

Well, I'm the ripe old age of 22, almost. But it's definitely better now than when I was 17. Does that count?

I've had 18 years of practice on the same woman. By this point, I could play her in a concert hall. :thumbsup:

(Could I pick up another instrument and play it? Who knows. I don't plan to find out.)

Well, let's see, I just turned 43. Yes, I can state with absolutely no trepidation, that the sex is by far better than when I was 16. They say that practice makes perfect. I've got 27 years of "practice" in, and I'm not done by a long shot. I may not get it as much as I did when I was in...say my twenties, but let me authoratively state that insofar as sex goes, quality is by far better than quantity. Like a good wine, sex improves with age and proper handling. :thumbsup:

Definately better with age, after 30 years of "practice" I almost know what I'm doing.

I'd say sex is better for me now at 22 1/3 than it was when I was 18... but a lot of that has to do with choice of partners.

I think that, as I learn more about my body (just through having sex a lot) that I really start to learn what does it for me. I find that I am able to tell what kind of sex I want based on how turned on I am, and what positions will feel best on what day.

I've been at it for 25 or so years and without a doubt it's better now than when I was a youngster. The best part in all this is that the young people here have something to look forward to as they age and mature.

Uhhh... I'm another youngin' here...

But it is A LOT better at 20 than it was at 18. heh... and it just keeps getting better.

Well, I'm 40. So far, sex in my forties sucks, in a bad way. There's only me involved! Diabetes doesn't help, lack of a woman doesn't help. :|

well, i'm not anywhere near 40 yet but compared to when i was 18, vs. now when i'm almost 24... big difference, you get better as your body matures and as your sexuality does. :)

Bill O'Rights said it right...quality is better than quantity. Sex at 40 is much better, for me, for two reasons... I have just about got it figured out, and don't get in a hurry. And, women at this age (and even 10 years younger) are more into it than they were in the late teens and 20's. What heps me? Turning off the PC, getting out of the house, and meeting REAL women. It works too...

When I have it it is most often better than when I was a kid.

I've given up partner sex,the visual of my ancient self being sexual makes me want to hurl in revulsion.

28 and it's much, much better than when I was in my teens. I never had an orgasm with any partner before Grace. Part of that's emotional maturity, part of it is coming to terms with my sexuality (ok that's probably most of it), and part of it is staying with a single partner and learning about her and she about me.

16 years with my wife, much better now than ever. I guess it helps because she has become more comfortable, but either way, the connection is much greater now.

I'm 22, but sex is definitly better now than it was when I lost my virginity at 19....
Then again, I think that has a lot more to do with who I'm sleeping with....

Without a doubt it is better now at age 36. I have learned more about myself and what my husband wants. We not only have it more often, but the quality keeps improving.

Bucking the trend here, I kind of liked the whole learning process. It was more fun to explore and discover what feels best, what doesn't work for me, and ways to make my partner get off. I'm a hell of a lot more efficient now with my wife, and I know how to get the most out of the experience, but I really miss the fun of learning.

I was married when I was 17. Sex sucked! I'm 23 now and I can't get enough. So, yes, it has improved with a greater understanding of what I want and how I want it, etc.

I never really experienced the fun of learning. I married somebody who was very experienced. He got right into things with me. Bend over. Flip this way. Move like this. Not much fun. Maybe the reason I enjoy sex more now is because my SO was a virgin when I got a hold of him :p No expectations. Being a teacher if fun.

I'll be back in about 20 something years to the good ' ol' tfp boards to give an update! ;)

Im 40 and it has improved with age, but what does help is having the right partner ;) festered.....

I voted Yes. I'm 47, which is pretty old around these parts. I've only had sex with my wife during the last 20 years. Before that I had lots of sex with lots of different girls. Yes, I'm bragging. I loved sex with a new partner, everything being new and unexplored. I miss the excitement of seeing how a new girlfriend acted, responded, behaved during sex; of seeing what she liked and if she had unusual needs.
With my wife, things didn't start out very good. But over the last 5 years we've had the best sex ever. She is more aware of what she needs and so am I. So sex has most definately gotten better.

Its a resounding YES, it gets better. I've been married for 15 years and we dated 3 years before that, granted it's not as frequent as when we younger, but the quality has great increased...

I don't think sex gets better with age.

Sex gets better with experience, and experimentation. Two things which for most people take until their mid 30's it seems to figure out if at all, especially women. Having always dated more sexually open types this hasn't been an issue for me.

I'd say I'm at a peak right now, I can't see it getting much better than it currently is.

I can honestly say that after 25 years with the same woman, sex does get better with age. We may not do it as often as when we were young, averaging about twice a week now, but the intensity is very much still there. As a matter of fact it may be even more intense sometimes.

Yes. With age comes the maturity (usually) to appreciate and/or make "better" (if necessary) choices about who you're sleeping with.

As I get older, I find myself more confident and comfortable with who I am, and I have found that to be really freeing - so for me, yeah, sex has gotten better.

sex is good at all age!

but not for children, do not get me in the wrong way. i am not this sort who go to jail.
