Skate advice for someone getting into drop-in ice hockey - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Anyone have any thoughts?

I play inline and my league is starting in a week or so. I got a great deal on gear for that, i got mission he350s for $99.

i've been looking on ebay and peranis.com and i can't seem to figure out what skates i really want.

I've seen lots of deals on bauer vapors (various models) and while they are great deals, they still seem to be reaching the $100 range.

I'm not sure if that's a solid deal for those skates or what kind of skates I should get.

I've skated before, so I'm not a beginner. frankly, i'm not at the level where i could tell a whole lot of difference in skates I don't think.

so any and all suggestions that you would have for me, would be great. I don't want to go the play-it-again sports way. since the play-it-agains around here don't seem to have anything used in any reasonable condition.

Find some that are comfortable and have the same forward lean and rocker as your inline's then you won't have to change your stride up as much. Otherwise just buy some that are in your price range and not too heavy. By the way make sure you get them rockered correctly for you skating style and position, also try different hollows on the blade until you find something comfortable for you.
