1) what the hell was going on with that split decision on the congo/herring fight? i never really questioned ufc's integrity before as long as i've been a fan, but man... first of all herring's had way to many chances to make a comeback in this league even as a heavyweight, and i couldn't believe how much even joe rogan kissed his ass during saturday's fight even though he's gotten whooped his last 3 fights.

then to make is worse, it took frickin 15 MINUTES for the judges to come back with that jacked up split decision giving herring the win. made me wonder who the substitute judges were behind the scenes. i don't care if herring was dropping some knees and that congo's an even worse wrestler than herring... herring didn't hurt congo at all.

2) silva's the man, nuff said. rogan summed it up when he said " man, if silva goes through henderson like he's gone through everyone else, i don't know if anyone can beat him."

it'd be nice if silva could somehow bulk up or if rampage would come down for a fight between those 2.

3) WTF is up with them not showing the arlovski fight?? first of all, i can't be the only person who's a fan of that guy still and would have MUCH rather seen that fight than ANY other fight besides silva on the card (incl congo/herring). secondly his opponent was jim o'brien, who totally Whooped herring btw... but ffs, it's pay-per-view, there's no danger of pre-empting american idol, show us ALL the goddamn fights on the card for our 45 DOLLARS. /endrant

Yea, i was super impressed by Kongo and his wrestling. I'm just happy that he's improving with every fight.

I assume it was their way to try and bury Arlovski, as this was the last fight on his UFC contract. It is kind of baffling on how and who they decide to "censor" from their ppv's. They made sure to not show Randy when he was backing Tyson Griffin, but had no problem showing Matt Lindland, even letting Joe say his name multiple times on commentary.

And Silva is crazy good. When he started to bob and weave around in the 2nd, getting his rhythm going, you just knew it was going to end shortly. Good on Dan for that first round, though.

I disagree. I think the judges got it right. I was rooting for Kongo and had money on him, but I think Herring was the better man that night. He landed more blows and I think did a little more damage to Kongo than vice versa. It was a close match, but I definately gave 2 rounds to Herring (as did the guys I watched it with).

Silva is just crazy good. I thought he was going to be knocked out in the first round with those vicious blows to the head but he came back, dominated and won. I can't think of anyone left in his decision who he could fight. I can't see him going up a weight class, but I heard rumours that he may drop down to 170 into the stacked welterweight division. Could you imagine a GSP / Silva showdown? My god that would be good!

I was dissapointed we didnt see the Arlovski and Nightmare Sanchez fights - I was really hoping they would squeeze those in.

I'm also glad that Koscheck got a good win. I want to see him start rising in the rankings again.


Now about Lesnar and Coleman. I think Lesnar is going to absolutely destroy this guy. I call it a round 1 stoppage by ground and pound. I can't wait to see this one - even though Lesnar lost he impressed the hell out of me in that first fight. If he learns some decent defense against BJJ he will be unstoppable.

yea, lesner has a jackhammer punch like i've never seen... there's no wwf in those swings. since they both lost their last fight, how bout lesner/ congo?? mmm, that would be some tasty striking.
