I think it has been done before in earlier drafts... and, even after drafting, the team still has to come to a contract agreement with the player. If he really doesn't want to be there, he could hold out on the contract after being drafted; this is just a more polite way of going about it.

I can't say that I remember a time when a player didn't want to play for a specific team... at least in football. I remember Eric Lindors did it in Hockey. I just think it is kind of sad that Eli's dad is dictating all of this...If he didn't have a famous father, I wonder what he would be doing today?
