Congrats to Rochester favorite John Tortorella. His boys turned it up a notch in prolly the greatest final series I've ever seen. Edge of the seat action in most of the games. Man oh man, some damn fine hockey.

Flames were incredible as well, but needed one or two players to get hot enough to take the focus away from Iginla.

Here's hoping that there is a next year, and if there is:

That was an awesome game. I was on the edge of my seat for most of it. Couldn't ask for a better game 7. I was pulling for the flames, but oh well. The quality of the game more than made up for anything else.

Well... Congrats to Tampa, you deserved the game.

I had to laugh at Ace's comment about Fraser 'playing' 2 games in a row though. Sorta seemed like he was playing for a team at times. Seriously though, that was an absolutly brutal call with just over a minute left in Game fucking 7 of the Stanley cup finals!! Then giving the even up call for some bullshit tripping penalty... just rubbing salt in the wounds. It's like saying sorry bout that shitty call, we'll even it up for you for the last 20 seconds.

All that said, Tampa did deserve to win the Game. The Flames didn't show up till the 3rd. Too bad, but it's been a great unexpected run for them and the city couldn't be prouder of them.

Good job Flames.

Yes Fraiser is a punk for making Dave sit in the penalty box for the last minute of the game. I can't believe he did that. He made a bad call, don't make another one to even it!

Over 300 people waiting at the airport at 3:30 am for the Flames plane to arrive. Screaming...cheering, so proud of their team. Can you possibly ask for better fans- or for a more inspiring team? I am so proud of the Flames...and I know that the past 2 months will hold a special place in every Calgarian's heart forever.

A punk for making Dave sit there? How about Jarome? With Jarome there for that last stretch the flames had a much better chance

I think you mean Ference, he was the one who got the bullshit penalty.

And Corneo, my point about giving the bullshit penalty to Tampa for the even up was that it was nothing close to evening it up. To me it was an admission that the first call was a mistake. Piss poor timing for a mistake of that calibur. The Flames were pushing hard and had a chance to tie it up. The penalty put a stop to that.

Anyway, Tampa won the game in the end. Good for them, they're a deserving team. Personally, I would of prefered it come out differently, but them's the breaks.

As another Rochester Amerk fan and Buffalo Sabre fan, I truly agree. I also was happy to see Dave Andrychuck get a cup after all these years! And man... did you see his daughters? Whoa!
