They're finally a contending team! I've waited soooo long for this to happen; so long in fact I can't believe it even though they've been #1 in the Pacific almost the entire season.

The Clippers are playing well; Cassell has been a nice addition. Jaric wasn't a slouch though. He turns the ball over less and is a better defender, which are great attributes for a point guard. However, Sam is a better shooter and scorer, and like the media likes to point out as of late, he is a winner. I am sure the Clippers would have been doing well with Jaric too, but the trade has worked out better for both teams.

Brand is a beast, and Kaman is a good rebounder. I have always been a fan of Mobley, I thought it was a shame that Orlando did not even consider trying to resign him and dumped him to Sacramento. He is a solid perimeter defender, he and Bowen are two guys who always hassle Kobe. Mobley is a good shooter and can score from the block too. Like Cassell, he adds competitiveness and grit to the ball club.

I wish they would trade or play Wilcox. He is explosive and talented, but his minutes have declined since the arrival of Dunleavy. He is still young, but this is his fourth year in the league, he can be an impact player.

Thing is he did get some good playing time last year when Brand was out due to injury. He did really well, but not well enough to take too much of Brand's playing time away. He's too bulky to play small forward, and isn't defensive-minded enough to play center. I agree that he can be an impact player, but as of now, he seems like an Al Harrington-like player. He's good, but he's not amazing.

Between Cassell and Kaman Clippers might be the ugliest team in the league.

But yeah they are sweet, Cassell and Cat were huge pick ups, although to be honest, I'm not 100% convinced Sammy while keep it up. The dude is old, between his back/hip/ego, I think there might be a problem somewhere down the line.

I hope not though, I really enjoy this team, really firing on all cylinders and that is w/out Maggette playing.
