Problem with avatar pic not loading.
 

The image I'm trying to load is within the pixel allowance.
I've tried loading from my computer & photobucket.
Keep getting an 'upload failed' notice.

Is it below the file size limit? (39.1 KB?)

It is 11.51 KB. 217px by 300px

Odd. I routinely use avatars that are way outside the pixel size limits. TFP resizes them for me.

Not sure about the resizing. From my end, the system demands 100 by 100 pixels or 39.1 KB (whichever is smaller). Yours is nearly three times the pixel range. Can you resize it through Photobucket?

Hey, that's a pretty sweet avatar!

Neither I nor my wife can replace our current avatars. I was able to delete hers, but not replace it. The new avatar that I attempted to load is well within the size requirements and I tried both jpg and png. And I tried both a direct upload and a URL link.

A little research indicates that this is a common problem with vBulletin. It appears that folder permissions don't get properly reset on an update.

Could I ask that an admin please look into this for us? Thanks so much.

and what "common" problem you're referring to. I keep up with the vbulletin issues for this version so I'd appreciate you linking that as well.

It's there. I see it. I took a screenshot of it so that you can see it.

The issue you linked is for such an old version of vb that it's not that issue. The second one is also not that issue because the server hums along with little change to it since any upgrade that I do to it is strictly on the software and not on the folder permissions.

I'm going to say you should clear your browser cache and you should see your avatar.

And we've cleared the cache on both her and my computers.

That explains a lot.

TFPEZ.com is not the same as tfproject.org.

It is a totally different database and a totally different URL. It shares an older codebase of TFP but it forked long ago when we split off the porn. It is also why your passwords there are not synced from TFP to TFPEZ.

Now that site, hasn't been updated and the folder structure is very different. There's lots of issues with that site that I'd like to fix but I cannot fix until we migrate to a new server.

Yeah sorry I wish I could fix it. It's so far behind in upgrades and I like keeping things in sync.
