Think Google meets iTunes Coverflow....

this is a very cool search tool... It works for me because sometimes I know what I found earlier based on the look of the site.

How does it have those pages loaded without "the wait for the pages to download?" Would it not be prefetching?

I too am wondering how it streams and renders the content. It's definitely cool, but strikes me as inefficient bandwidth-wise. If I only want one specific page then downloading all of them is maybe not the best course of action I could take.

What happens for people on dial-up? They are still out there.

It does not stream. It takes screenshots of the pages, stores low quality images, and sends you these because it is faster than downloading all that content. Rather neat. I like this beta. I can see google out doing this shortly.

Sign up for the beta, check it out. I figure if I test the beta, I won't have to pay if they ever require one to pay for the service.
