Best audio CD burning software

I got a new laptop that only came with Windows Media Player, which is decent for burning music CDs, but the 2 second skip between tracks is too bothersome for me. I've been trying a number of opensource programs from this list, but I haven't found a good one yet. I would also like the ability to listen to the songs within the program. What program do you guys recommend for burning music CDs?

I use Nero. I like it a lot.

I use an old version of Nero.

obtained legally of course :)

I use Nero 8, yes I bought it.

I both like it and hate it.

burrrn
supports all of these codecs:
wav, mp3, mpc, ogg, aac, mp4, ape, flac, ofr, wv, tta, m3u, pls and fpl playlists and cue sheets

and has a simple & effective interface

I use burnatonce for audio CDs if I have a bunch of different tracks, or Burrrn if I have a cuesheet. burnatonce is no longer being developed, but it can burn with no gap between tracks. I could never get another free software for Windows to do that with my burner.

Nero, and sometimes Stomp.

Nero Burning Rom version 6.
Nero Express 99.9% of the time.
Sometimes I use BurnAtOnce for image files (ISO).

Either can burn without gaps.

When I used windows I used CDBurnerXP. It's freeware and always worked great for me.

Oh and n0nsensical, it can burn audio with or without gaps.

I vote for CDBurnerXP too. For free it is amazing.

I recently downloaded CDBurnerXP but haven't had a chance to use it yet. It appears to work with DVD and maybe Blu Ray as well.

Just a question, I had CDBurnerXP and never found a way to burn without a gap.

Could someone post how they do it?

Best audio CD burning software

If you are looking for a good and quality software I can recommend Audio CD Burner Studio. I use it for a few weeks and it still looks good.

Fuck CD Burner XP, I burned 6 coasters in a row this morning.

Hain 04-14-2009 10:51 PM

Try Burrrn if you can find it. I just used ImgBurn yesterday to burn three discs (successfully, mind you) without gaps. So long as you have the codec installed, it can burn all those media files listed for Burrrn.

-----EDIT-----
Also, ImgBurn can be configured to run straight from a flash drive---which is why I use it.

I d/l'd Nero 9 yesterday and it works fine

Poppinjay 04-16-2009 04:40 AM

I use Adobe Audition. It's near perfect, but it's a full editing suite.

I also use Adobe Audition. Great program with alot more than I could dream of using.
