Windows Mobile 6.1 Experts....Help...

Okay, so I got my first Windows Mobile (6.1) phone, the HTC Touch Diamond. I'm concerned about something and can't find the answer.

Right now it's storing all my SMS messages to the SIM card, which holds about 20 total. After that it tells me to delete messages to make room for new ones. This phone has 4GB of internal storage. Try as I might, I could not find a setting in WinMo to make SMS save directly to phone. Any ideas?

I've had several HTC phone, but haven't upgraded to the diamond....yet.

I don't know off-hand where that would be on a Touch Diamond, but the best site I've seen for Windows Mobile and HTC phones is: forums.xda-developers.com

I fucking hate Windows Mobile. I have an HTC PPC6800 and Windows Mobile 6. It makes me want to claw my eyes out every single day of use. Questions like yours should be easy to answer, but alas, they are not.

Okay, the problem solved itself out. I have no idea how.

Now it saves to the phone. Go figure.

The only thing that I was having a problem with was the speed of the OS. Going from a dedicated phone to a WinMo phone made it seem pretty slow. However, I tweaked it and now it works like a dream. I have not a single complaint about it.

Another thing that bugged me was that it would connect to the EDGE network on its own whenever it couldn't find WiFi and checked email and weather. I don't have a data plan which means that it was syphoning money at an alarming rate. However, I found a 3rd party program to disable EDGE on this phone. This made me appreciate open source OS very much.

The only good part of Windows Mobile is the ability to tether your internet connection. I use it at work all day long. It's a good thing I have the unlimited data plan with Alltel because I rack up around 1 GB per month of data usage.

there is an option in wm6.1 that i've found a while ago that let me set it to either internal storage or external storage... I have every single message ever since I've upgraded my phone from 6.0 to 6.1
