So yeah...i lost my network connections....

Well here is how the story goes. I was downloading shit off of kazaa lite and i got a virus.....well symantec's webpage said to go into safe mode, delete the file and delete a registry key (yeah i know i'm a dumbass for not backing up my registry)....well ever since then I can't see my network connections. I know it's a software problem. And i'm running windows 2000 professional.

Do they show up in System Information (the nic that is)

Yup my internet works fine and they show up in device manager and system information.

this may sound kinda stupid but kind of common sense, I had the same prob and I felt like such a dumbass for not trying the simplest thing first.

Have you tried re-installing/updating you NIC drivers?

Good luck, hopefully that helps
