try burning the file first as an image, then burn the image.

it's worth a shot.

do you have any other burning software you could test with? if you are using XP, just try writing some files to a cd in explorer

i hate nero

Make sure you aren't somehow running a simulation the first time.

You sure it's not writing to your CD burner?
menu item: Recorder/Choose Recorder

Sounds like you have Simulation turned on....the first pass through does not burn the disk, but the second pass does, when you create your burn project check the Burn tab and make sure that only Write and Finalize are checked.

good luck.

No, no, NO! The proper solution to *any* Windows problem is to format the harddrive and re-install the OS.

Hell, just ask my ISP's helpdesk...

you have simulation turned on. nero will simulate the burn, and then do the real burn. if you take the cd out befare the real burn you will have an unwritten cd...

Noooo...the proper solution is to reboot 18 times (this is best suggested 10mins before the Helpdesk closes) and see if the problem goes away...call back if that doesn't work!
