How do I lock myself out of the TFP?
TFP is fucking up my productivity. This is becomming a problem. I don't have the disipline to stay away. Now I need a way to lock myself out of the TFP from 08:00 to at least 17:30 every weekday. Any suggestions?
I'm behind a D-Link 614+ router, maybe I can use that in some way. And Hal, my suggestion for tfp 4.1 is a lockout function where you could lock your user out on specific times on weekdays and for a period of time (up to a week or so). Arrrghhhh..... |

If you use POW! you can open the browser window to TFP, select TFP as a pop up to stop. Now every time you open TFP, POW! will not only close the window as soon as TFP loads, but if it is the only browser window open, it (in effect) closes the browser, meaning that if you want to do ANY surfing at that point you have to reopen the whole thing from the start.

Get a time locked safe. Change your password to some long ass random letters and write it down. Then put the password in the safe that opens at 5pm each day. Don't forget to log out each day.
Thats all I got.

I know the feeling. But, if you design the lock-out, what's to stop you from picking your own lock? What about having a friend/coworker lock you out or something?
This place is damn addictive.

Every time you see the TFP during work hours, you will vomit on yourself.
Now that I have panted this hypnotic suggestion, you will be saved.

I got em to block the address on works firewall (haha), just showed 'em the boobies. Although you now can't get the Security Team to do anything, coincidence?
I would have the same problem but my screen is directly overlooked by the Boss, so I content myself with thinking up sh|te to write when I get home.

if you have a big paper or test or whatever due... you could ask a mod to temp ban you untill after the due date...
asking them to ban and unban you during certain hours of the day would be asking a little much...
