iexplore.exe
Greetings All,
Recently when I have been turning my computer off at night I am told that the program iexplore is not responding and I can cancel the program now or wait. I always chose to cancel now. My question is this: why, all of the sudden, is it doing that now and what exactly is iexplore.exe. Thanks for your helpful hints, suggestions, etc.

iexplore.exe is Internet Explorer. Maybe you upgraded some piece of software on your computer and it changed something that now causes IE to hang.
Or maybe you're infected with some nasty virus. Try getting your antivirus software updated (you do have something installed, right?) and check. If that is not the case, then I suggest trying to remember what you've changed recently, and undoing the change to see if it fixes the problem.
