i have to admit, i am unable to get a guestbook up and running.
i built a linux webserver, thought i had everything looking properly but the guestbook just will not work.
when i think i have fixed the problem i am just shown another type of error.
i have the read/write properties properly set on the guestbook script.
i just don't know what else to try.

my question is this: can anyone provide me with a nice tutorial, tips, hints, experiences, or anything else? problems you ran in to?
do you have scripts that you know are in working order and don't mind sharing with the needy (me)?

what is the best or easiest language to code a guestbook? i have also heard of some that are flash-based. is it true that some languages have more security risks than others?

I personally use php for stuff like this, but you could use just about anything. Just pick out a language and search. I typed 'php guestbook tutorial' into google and got quite a few matches. You might look at a few tutorials for each language, and then decide which looks easiest.
